Report from the Devious Things-
May 13th, 2012
8:56am
The Devious Things are preparing to leave New York City. After a remarkable day of supporting a threatened hospital in the working class neighborhood of Wyckoff Ave, Bushwick, we journeyed to Union Sq to network and read the latest issue of Occupied Wall St Journal and grab a copy of Indignacion for our multilingual family back home.
In time, we eventually made our way to Battery Park to watch fireworks over the Statue of Liberty before taking to the streets in an impromtu march through Zucotti Park! At last, we finally arrived on Broadway before going to bed outside City Hall. Many new friends, many new family, and much solidarity across the board.
True to form, we were awakened by the NYPD at about 6am and promptly moved to Foley Sq. for further demonstrations and organizing. Now, we're in our "mobile office" situated in a back corner of a hapless Starbucks.
Many photos, podcasts, and other media on the way.
Much love and solidarity to all at home,
The Devious Things
